Blood Red Parrot Cichlid Wont Eat?

How to set up an aquarium/closed ecosystem?

Hi. I am buying a 30-40 gallon fish tank and I would like to attempt to make a closed self sustainng ecosystem. My end goal is to have goldfish and guppies in there, not many, so I need brine shrimp and plankton for them to eat. Plankton are plants so they'll photosynthesize and brine shrimp can eat plankton and the fish poo. Does anyone have any tips on what else to add. I'm thinking more in terms of plants but I want everything to be self sustaining so any more bottom feeders would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've pointed out to her plenty of times that I'm VERY very happy with my weight. A solid 130. Its not super light but its a healthy weight for a young mexican american woman. Religion is not for everyone. Some times friends, family, your loved one or/and feeling good about yourself are all that you need to be "saved." Stop focusing on the bad. Of course cultures need to be revised, but form a nation based on one religion, what happens when someone else does not believe in that religion or believes in another religion? They become outcasts. I definitely would not recommend either of these products. They both only print black and the second one only operates on batteries or optional AC adapter, so you have added expense there. I would recommend a Epson R280 (I do not know where you live, but in the US they retail for $99.99). It is a 6 ink printer that allows you design and print (in color) onto printable CD/DVD's. Excellent quality photo printer as well.

Lower back pain- HELP PLEASE!!!?

For the past few weeks (5 weeks to be precise) I have been experiencing pain on my left side and back. I went to the doctors and they gave me some pain relievers. The doctors thought it was just a muscle spasm/strain. The pain pills helped take away the pain, but the problem still persisted. I do have Ulcerative Colitis (which is inflammation of the colon), which I have been diagnosed with about 6-7 months ago, but kept it pretty much under control. So since 5 weeks ago my pain has been getting worse. I went to the doctor again 2 weeks ago and they thought if it wasn't a muscle strain it's something with my colon (since I do have Ulcerative Colitis) and they gave me enemas (which is like a medication you put up your rectum to help your colon), which I have been taking until Monday (since they only prescribed me to take it for the 2 weeks). The enemas have only worked for a week. I went to the doctors again yesterday and they ran some tests like blood work and a cat scan of my lower stomach/back. I would really like to know what's wrong with me, since I don't get my test results back for another week. I am 64 if that's help, since I am old.

Im considering getting a new computer to replace my three year old frankenstein machine. Im pretty sure the specs are(not using that computer atm), 2.2 GHZ amd single core processor, 1 gig ddr ram, 160 Gb 7200rpm hard drive, mobo capable of having an amd X2 processor if its the right size and i think 4 Gb ram, and an Nvidia GeForce 6200 that i managed to unlock extra pixle pipelines for and overclocked the hell out of it. I think ive got around $1000 to spend on a new computer. I want something good for gaming, ex. Oblivion, Crysis, but i dont expect it to be able to handle Crysis on very high settings, obviously. We have an outdoor cat that comes around our doorstep. Very sweet all black, adorable. Our cats only stay indoors because we live in an area where there many coyotes at night. Since discovering a rodent problem in our outdoor water heater closet, we thought this would be a good extra measure to keeping the rats away (in addition to traps & sterilization). Could this work [unemployment]?

I heard there is a debate about whether or not people should get welfare checks and other kinds of financial help from the government. Well, I am not an expert on this, but I'm just sort of brainstorming; if we took the money we use on welfare etc. then we could put it into the education system, which would produce more intelligent individuals and would lower the unemployment rate significantly, and they would be able to take the high-requirement jobs while the rest that don't make it would be able to find more jobs with lower wages. Do you agree? Anything that would/could go wrong with this idea? Just wondering. I realized that America's educational system isn't so great, and part of it is because we don't put very much money into it, and we use a lot of money on unemployment benifits.

Today a neighbor who lives around the corner came over and asked if he can put a campaign sign in our yard for a candidate in a local election. He copped an attitude and spouted something of well then we didnt need the sign we wouldnt want to make our favored candidate mad and that he must be some close personal friend or something. I was trying to compromise by allowing his candidate some exposure but not directly showing that it is who we personally supported. We live on a buzy street and it would have been seen either way. NURSING SCHOOL QUESTION?

I will try to make this short. 3 weeks ago all of my nursing instructors walked out. They were awesome (until that point). We (the students) went to administration and demanded they be reinstated and that their request for an additional full-time instructor be granted. Administration said they would, and did reinstate them but still have not hired the FT instructor. We found out friday people are being interviewed for the director position. So obviously they are not holding their end of the deal. My question is should I transfer to another school while I can, or should I stay with my cohorts and finish ...possibly delaying my graduation a few weeks or more. I have to make this dicision by mon. My clmates are valuable to me but I only have 16 weeks to graduate. The school I can transfer to, has only a 50% p rate on NCLEX...my current school has 90+%. This is a big decision for me... I feel like my world has been pulled out from under me, and all I can do is watch. Thanks for your input.

Help with my tantruming 5 year old...?

okwhere do i start, he's always been very strong willed, demanding things, and i too am strong willed and don't give in. He's had a few problems, hearing up and down, and subsequently speech problems. he's had speech therapy, but his hearing has gone down again, and although his speech is improving, its no as clear as most his age. He's having grommets put in in 2 weeks. Because of his hearing he shouts a lot, but also he is naturally a hyper little boy. last month he was diagnosed with JIA (juvinille idiopathic arthritis), and it says children with this can be "moody and difficult". He's having steroid injections in his knees tomorrow, and i do think this is worrying him, despite our reurance, but this past week it's been like the terrible twos but worse! everytime i say he can't have something, or remove a privilge because of behaviour he screams the place down, the neighbours must think he's being tortured. I still don't give in an stay as calm as poss while the tantrum runs its course. just want any advice or reurance really. Also, i feel it gets him down, the amount of appointments he has to go to, as he wears gles too, he sees orthoptist, optitian, rhuematologist, physio, ent, speech therapy etc etc. on the other hand he's a very loving little boy, always telling my he loves me "more than anything else in the whole world" and cuddling and kising me!!! He can just turn at any moment! HELP!!!

Parents, do you let you kids listen to music with a parental advisory?

We didn't think it was a big deal but music these days is getting pretty rancid. We have a 12 year old and a 14 year old. You probably have PTSD and you are using the alcohol as medication. I think you should go for counseling to help you get back on balance. My brother-in-law has the same problem. He was in the Army and has PTSD. He used the booze to deal with everything too. He is seeing someone with his VA benefits and was able to quit the booze. I think you should check into that. I think that AA won't do you any good at all, since it's much different and deeper than just an addiction. (PTSD is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.)

How to teach myself to become a cheerleader?

I'm really flexible and have always wanted to do the stunts, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. My drawback is never having the opprotunity to try cheerleading, and and that I have broken my wrists a number of times and so am not as strong there as before (I'm working on it). O.k. so I moved about a little over a month ago,My little one used to sleep threw the night. occasionally wake up because she was hungry. She got used to sleeping with mommy! She screams bloody murder as if she's petrified! I've tried to do naps,to start her off slowly,but,thats not working. I'm going to answer the outer space question. There is a girl at work who for some reason has taken an intense dislike to me, I think its because I don't go drinking with her circle of losers, (I don't drink or smoke). Harry (my husband) is left handed and it's his left side that has gone so he can't do anything with his right hand anyway...........He can't controll his bowels and he has bad depression, one minute he's laughing the next he's crying. Apparently, the sound does not exist in their language? Why is this so? What the hell kind of language doesn't have the "h" sound? It's the sound that humans make when they inhale and exhale. Ex stringing me along?

It has been 7 months and he isn't dating anyone else. Still trying to get things settled in his life. First he got evicted from his house due to a roommate, then he lost his job, then we started bickering so he broke up with me. After the break up we continued seeing each other every now and then. He still claims he needs things in his life to improve before he gets into another relationship again. He still has no job and is living with family until he gets some $$. I'm a <50 yr old woman from California and I pretty much don't know how to dress for cold and rain nor uneven pavement. I have to visit Edinburgh in January and I would like to spend the weekend walking Old Town and the Royal Mile, seeing the sights (silly I know, but you visit Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco after all) and popping into a pub or casual ethnic restaurant when I get hungry. My fiance of 2 years, and girlfriend of 7 saids she is not in love with me anymore. We have a house together and I love her more than anything in the world. I have always been romantic, caring, give her everything I could, was wonderful, and she saids that I am perfect. She said since we started dating so soon she didnt get to experience things and this all came fast and she wants all of this later in life but not now anymore. All of her friends say they wish they could clone me, and dont understand whats going on with her. We have always been happy together. I'm an officer in my university's anime club and I'm looking to do business with some of the dealers at an anime convention I'm going to in the fall, but I still want to cosplay.
