Blood Red Parrot Cichlid Wont Eat?

I have two african cichlids and 1 blood red parrot (say what you want about how theyre not compatible, but theyre fine together!). my cichlids eat frosen brine shrimp pellets that sink to the ground, but the blood parrot just sits in his territory and watches them eat. in the past all of my parrots ate the food pellets that floated, but this one wont come to the surface to eat them! someone please help me help my parrot
