I have had hiccups for over 3 years straight.Doc. says after a Gas./Biliary he will schedule me for surgery?

The surgery consists of an incision in the neck area and the crushing of a vein not sure as to which vein he is talking bout.But he says it is effective. Just want to know has any 1 every gone through with this type of surgery and is it effective? The last test is called A GASTRIC/BILIARY scan.
